PhD Programs by Alumni Productivity & Impact

Doctoral programs ranked by either the median productivity or the impact h-index of their tenure-track OM/SCM alumni currently in the directory. Toggle to switch the ranking. Programs with fewer than 6 alumni are excluded.

Productivity: median of UTD-24 publications / (data-pull year − PhD year) across each program's TT OM/SCM alumni. Impact: the program's faculty-level h-index — the largest k such that k of its TT OM/SCM alumni each have a personal CPY h-index of at least k. Rewards depth of high-impact alumni without being inflated by a large cohort of low-impact ones. Impact values are reported as fractional h-indices, interpolated between integer levels so close ranks remain distinguishable (see methodology). Alumni without a computable value count as 0. Last publication data pull: 2026-08-23.
